I have purchased several of these footswitches over the years and have had the chance to see them perform in harsh industrial environments over long periods of time. I was a bit wary of going with these (as opposed to industrial grade footswitches or footswitches with serial connectors) but these footswitches have exceeded my expectations. Out of about 30 in the field, none have failed. These are high quality components that you can be confident will pass the test of time. The pedal itself is on the small size but nearly all footswitches are these days. The one issue I had was with the programming - in a handful of instances, they "lost" their programming (they forget which key on the keyboard they need to emulate and must be reprogrammed) but this takes just a minute to fix and anyone can do it provided they have the driver. In short, an excellent product that I keep buying when the need arises.
Works exactly as described. This is a Chinese product. You get the pedal itself, an instruction booklet for the software, and a burned CD with the software on it.
TO USE:
1) Plug in the pedal. It auto installs the drivers. It default binds to the space bar. The Pedal WILL NOT act as it's own unique button press. It binds to a button on the keyboard.
2)Copy the files from the CD to a folder on the computer. These do not install.
3) Run the exe, this will give you the option to change what button the pedal is bound too. Just type the new key in the small text box and hit save.
4) You can close the software, once you save it does not need to be running.
I use this for my Push to Talk for a mumble server, I just bound the key to an rarely if ever used key for games. Should work for Teamspeak and Ventrillo. I have it 4/5 simply because the burned CD was alittle silly.
