The Sound BlasterX H5 is an excellent analog headset. It has the look and feel of quality in every aspect while managing to have a great sound as well. Every detail is accounted for from how long the cable is, to the quality of the case so you can easily pack it up and take it places. The only minor quibble I could come up with was a slight lack of crisp in certain high-pitched action sounds, but this is extremely minor indeed considering how great the music experience is. From just a quality and performance standpoint, this unit is a slam dunk.

These (Sound BlasterX H5) are the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever owned. Even after an 8 hour gaming session while wearing glasses, they are still perfectly comfortable. I simply cannot fault them.

One thing I really like about the headset is the headband; it's more robust than it looks, springing back into place after we bend it up so that the headband is nearly flat. Creative did this by using steel underneath the padding instead of plastic. While doing this with other headsets often makes me cringe, the Sound BlasterX H5 happily takes the bending in stride.

The Sound BlasterX H5 isn't the loudest headset out there but it's plenty loud enough in our opinion, especially given how well it attenuates external sounds, and it also doesn't distort a maximum volume like so many cheaper models. Music is handled very well with bass notes that are nice and warm but not overpowering.

It sounds fantastic, nearly as good as my more expensive cans. It’s light and comfortable for multiple hours of wear. It’s durable, with a bendable steel frame. And it has a detachable mic that manages to cut out background noise and capture clear, quality voice.

...the rich details come very useful in FPS games where every footstep matters. The soundstage is also very good and can compare to audiophile headphones. As one of the best all-rounders, Creative Sound BlasterX H5 competes with Cloud II well and if you want to use your gaming headset for music as well, the H5 is the best pick.
