This will be the proverbial "curate's egg" for some people, partly good and partly bad. Personally I feel that it is ideal for our busy household where gadgets of various types seem to be constantly on charge and chargers seem to fill every available socket, even after the appliance has long gone. I am using this item in the kitchen adjacent to the toaster, which seems to be the most attractive charging location in our house, probably due to it being adjacent to the door used by many to exit the house.
In order to undertake this review, I have tested it on the following:
+ Iphone (wife)
+ Blackberry passport (me)
+ Microsoft Lumia 640 X 2 (wife and my work phones)
+ A generic android phone of nondescript origin (son)
+ ipad X 2
+ Samsung tablet
+ Kindle fire
+ Kindle ereader
+ Chromebook
+ Golf GPS tracker
+ traditional ipod
+ ipod touch
I can honestly say that it has charged all of the items fully and quickly, although I cannot substantiate the claim that it charges 65% quicker, my Chromebook certainly charges quicker than its standard charger and so does my Blackberry. We have agreed that this will be the generic charger for our telephones when at home, as whilst my Blackberry is very efficient as is my son's phone, both the iphone and the Nokia are atrocious and need to be collected at the last possible minute if they are to last the day.
What we like:
+ 5 appliances (phones in our case) can be charged from one charger, taking up only one plug in the kitchen
+ The item does not get hot, even under a full load charging 5 items (not just phones) - we have the 40W model
+ When we travel, we only need to take this charger now and 4 cables (iphone new and ipad old cable, generic USB cable X 2) and all of our needs are met; with one travel converter plug
What we don't like:
+ We still have a host of cables coming out of the charger (unavoidable)
+ The cost, but over time it will pay for itself ( as at 22nd March 2017)
I am sure that for many, they will not see the need for this item or appreciate the value of it. As a frequent traveller and one who frequently travels on a cruise ship, this item is ideal for us, particularly when on a ship where we are restricted to a single plug point.
I heartily recommend this item, although for some, I can see them giving it less than three stars - hence the comment regarding the "curate's egg"

Great! Finally the manufacturers of these devices have realised that squeezing the ports alongside each other at the end or top of a rectangular block shaped USB charger is actually very frustrating for the user.
The problem is that there isn't enough space for chunky USB connections, often resulting in an adjacent port being unusable. Even if you can fit the USB connectors alongside each other, the proximity of other connectors makes them awkward to insert and remove, It's also very easy to dislodge one connector when removing another.
This compact multi-port hub does away with that problem. Ports are widely spaces on the outer edge of the puck - shaped charger, enabling each USB connector to be easily removed.
The 3 pin mains plug has a decent length of cable, enabling the coaster sized charger unit to sit on a desktop whilst plugged in at wall or floor level. The underside has a non-slip rubber surface - no danger of this skidding off a desk or table top and taking your precious devices crashing to the floor.
I used it to charge my iPhone 6s Plus, two USB powered rechargeable bike lights and my fitness device with absolutely no issues whatsoever, and could have added a fifth USB cable. You will need the charging cables for each individual device, but the USB connection is universal.
The design is attractive and stylish, this is a visually striking and highly functional addition to the home or workplace.
