USB Flash Drive 256Gb - SanDisk Ultra SDCZ48-256G-U46

This SanDisk Ultra USB Flash Drive works exactly as you would expect it to. Transfers to and from the card seem to work quite quickly. The drive is about standard size, and like many others, has a slide button to slide the USB connector in and out. It also has a blue light that indicates readyness, and transfer activity. The drive is labeled in a way that makes it clear which side needs to be turned up for it to be inserted properly. (I hate drives that you have to try one way, and then the other, because you can't tell simply by looking at them which side should be turned up.) Finally, there is a molded, hole, in the curve at one end, to allow the drive to be carried on a key chain.
The one negative I found, which is the reason this is a four-star and not a five-star review has to do with the software on the drive. There is an executable that I believe has to do with drive security. When I ran it, it recognized that there was an update for the program, downloaded the update, but then the update would not run.
I paid full Amazon price for this flash drive. I wrote this review just to try to help others learn a little about it. I hope you found this review helpful. Disappointed with the poor key ring design as I saw it in the picture and choose it partly because it had a key ring hole. I notice the USB male piece is sticking out when I look at my keys quite often when I know I closed it. This is because the key ring whole is impeded upon by the sliding piece. That being said. I tested out it's speed and it was faster than advertised. On the motherboard's default drives on my computer I was able to download a 739Mb file in 44 seconds on the best run (just under 17 Mb/s). However with my new PCI-E two port usb adapter I bought I just did one test and downloaded the same file in seconds (that's Mb/s). Those two speeds I listed were moving files from my 7200 rpm hard drive to the flash drive. I did not test moving files from my SSD to my flash drive. I did however test moving files from my flash drive to both my SSD and my HDD. Those took roughly 550 Mb/s and 62 Mb/s. So it is capable of more than 100 Mb/s transfer speed, not just up to IF you are moving files from the flash drive AND onto a SSD
